When I began my career working for independent jewelers, sales training was nearly nonexistent. The primary focus of any provided education was primarily product knowledge. As I progressed, I began to understand that bridal and fine jewelry sales required much more that parroting facts and explaining the Four Cs. It requires understanding your client and clear communication.
I wrote With This Ring, I Do sell after earning a certification in Project Management, which provided me the tools to organize my successful sales techniques, unique to bridal and fine jewelry, into a repeatable process. The knowledge in this book comes from decades on the floor selling and training many others to do so. It is intended to provide a foundation for jewelry sales with skills, strategies, and scripts on which to build a career. It was written with love for the jewelry craft and appreciation for journey it takes to become successful in it.
